Prehistoric Cave Discovered in Israel
Scientists have discovered a prehistoric ecosystem dating back millions of years in a cave near the central Israeli city of Ramla. The researchers uncovered eight previously unknown species of crustaceans and invertebrates similar to scorpions. Samples of the animals were sent for DNA tests, which confirmed that they were unique. The cave was completely sealed off from the world, and scientists believe it has been intact for millions of years.
