Isadora Duncan was an American dancer who is considered the Mother of Modern Dance. Although never very popular in the US, she entertained throughout Europe and eventually moved to Paris. An innovator, pioneer, and liberator of the expressive movement, she was inspired by the drama of ancient Greece and danced barefoot, wearing a loose tunic. Duncan was as notorious for her private life as for her work, which was considered scandalous at the time. How did Duncan die?
