Shankar is a world-famous Indian sitarist and composer. He was a pupil of the great Indian instrumentalist Ustad Allauddin Khan, whose daughter, Annapurna, Shankar later married. Shankar founded the Kinnara School of Music in Bombay, and for a few months in 1965, George Harrison of the Beatles studied sitar with him. Among Shankar's many compositions are the scores for the films Pather Panchali and Charly. Shankar's daughters are both well-known musicians. Do you know who they are?
