New Device Can Help Regrow Teeth

Scientists have created a tiny ultrasound machine that can make human teeth grow back. The low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) system, which fits into a patient's mouth on a braces bracket or a removable plastic crown, needs to be activated for 20 minutes a day for four weeks for noticeable results. A team at the University of Alberta in Canada hopes the device will be available to the public within two years.
