Janet Leigh
Janet Leigh was "discovered" by the actress Norma Shearer, whose late husband, Irving Thalberg, had been a senior executive at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. After securing a contract with MGM, Leigh left college, where she had been studying music and psychology, and went on to appear in over 50 films. She is perhaps best known for her performance in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film Psycho, which earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. She is the mother of what famous actress?
