DEFINITION: (noun) A small vehicle with four wheels in which a baby or child is pushed around. SYNONYMS: stroller, baby buggy, pram, pushchair, go-cart, pusher, carriage. USAGE: Charlotte is quite spoiled; each of her dolls has its own perambulator, parasol, and wardrobe.

Pocahontas

The daughter of Powhatan, a Native American chief who controlled almost all of tidewater Virginia, Pocahontas was an Algonquian Indian whose life has formed the basis of numerous legends. Because she never learned to write, her story was transmitted to later generations through others and is therefore full of romantic hyperbole. Few people know that 'Pocahontas' was actually her childhood nickname. What was her real name?

King Hassan II of Morocco

Hassan II ruled Morocco from 1961 until his death in 1999. In 1957, he became chief of staff of the Moroccan army and was crowned king in 1961. In 1965, political unrest in Morocco caused him to assume full executive and legislative control, but an abortive coup led him to yield some of his powers to parliament. Drinking in Early Teens Increases Alcoholism Risk

According to a new study, people who begin drinking alcohol before the age of 14 are more likely to become alcoholics than those who don't start drinking until they're 21. Early drinkers also develop dependence on alcohol faster and face a longer struggle with alcohol throughout their lives. The findings are based on the results of a 2001-2002 survey of 43,093 adults conducted by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
