
After analyzing 8 studies linked to
acetaminophen (paracetamol) and
ovarian cancer, researchers concluded that regular usage of acetaminophen (
Tylenol) is associated with a 30% decreased risk of the cancer. Scientists say more research is required, because although acetaminophen appears to protect against ovarian cancer, it is also associated with a long-term risk of
liver and
chronic renal failure.
