Fish Oil May Help Save Eyesight
Two new studies suggest that eating fish could help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). AMD is the leading cause of age-related vision loss among people aged 60 or older and affects approximately 30% percent of Americans aged 75 years and older. Researchers believe the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish such as salmon may protect against retinal oxidation and degeneration.
