Does Living Alone Increase Heart Disease Risk?

Danish researchers report that older people who live alone are twice as likely to develop serious heart disease. They believe that factors common to people living alone, such as smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, fewer visits to the doctor, and less access to social support, may help explain their increased risk.
