Behavioral Problems in Kids of Smoking Mothers
Filed under: add to del.icio.us
A new study found that two-year-olds whose mothers smoked regularly while they were pregnant were significantly more likely to exhibit an abnormal pattern of behavior over time. Children born to smoking mothers displayed increased levels of stubborn defiance and aggression and had poorer social skills. Though the study is suggestive, it does not prove that smoking during pregnancy causes these problems.
