Frightening Fossils Discovered in Australia
Filed under: add to del.icio.us
Paleontologists from the University of New South Wales recently discovered fossils that they say belonged to killer kangaroos, "demon ducks," and marsupial lions that once inhabited Australia's Outback. Many of the fossils are more than 24 million years old. Researchers say many of the animals were similar to others elsewhere in the world, but had evolved uniquely in Australia.
