Carnaby Street, in London's Soho district, was first made popular by followers of the Mod style in the 1960s. It became closely associated with Swinging London, when many independent music shops, fashion boutiques, and designers were located there. Today, Carnaby Street is decidedly more mainstream, with chain stores and restaurants, and few independent outlets. What is the origin of the name "Soho?"
