Last Passenger Pigeon Dies in Captivity

By the mid-19th century, it was clear that their population was in decline, with millions of the birds killed annually for food, hog feed, and even for sport. The last passenger pigeon died in 1914 at the Cincinnati Zoo. What was her name?Willa Cather

As a result of the spill, an estimated 250,000 sea birds, 2,800 sea otters, 300 harbor seals, and 250 bald eagles were killed. The tanker's captain was later found guilty of negligence.
