Memorial Ceremony Marks 9-11 Anniversary
Five years after the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, families of some of the nearly 3,000 victims gathered at Ground Zero for a solemn memorial ceremony. Four moments of silence are planned -- two for the times that hijacked planes hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center, and two for the times that the burning towers collapsed. At the ceremony, approximately 200 family members will read the names of the 2,749 victims.
