Empress Dowager Cixi Ends Hundred Days of Reform in China

The de facto ruler of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, Cixi ruled China for most of the period from 1861-1908. As consort of Emperor Xianfeng, she named her nephew, Guangxu, to the throne, although he was not in the direct line of succession. She later staged a coup after Guangxu attempted to institute political reforms against her wishes, and thereafter she ruled directly. Cixi later encouraged the Boxer Rebellion and eventually consented to several modernizing measures. What were her other names?
