Camouflage in the Military
Camouflage clothing features patterns that are constructed to deceive the human eye by breaking up the boundaries that define human silhouettes. Camouflage was not widely used in early warfare, when armies wore bright colors and bold designs to daunt the enemy. Scientific camouflage was not greatly developed until WWI. Though radar diminished its utility, conflicts like the guerrilla campaigns of the Vietnam War again made it important. What is chocolate-chip camouflage, and when was it used?
