Marie-Antoinette

Marie-Antoinette was the wife of King Louis XVI of France. Their marriage was designed to ally France with Austria's ruling Hapsburg dynasty. They were executed by guillotine, along with thousands of others. What was the famous Affair of the Diamond Necklace?
