Paragliding
Paragliding is a recreational and competitive flying sport that has its roots in parachuting. The sport, which took off in the 1970s, differs from parasailing, which is a passive amusement ride in which the participant is towed on a line behind a boat. By contrast, a paraglider is a free-flying, foot-launched aircraft. Today, the world's best racers compete in the Paragliding World Cup and the Paragliding World Championship. What is the difference between a paraglider and a hang glider?
