Good Samaritan Law
Good Samaritan laws in the US are laws protecting those who choose to aid people that are injured or ill. The laws are intended to reduce bystanders' hesitation to assist strangers in emergency situations out of a fear of being prosecuted for injury or wrongful death. In other countries, Good Samaritan laws require reasonable action from bystanders, such as calling the authorities. Who was investigated for violation of French Good Samaritan law in connection with Princess Diana's death?
