Tsunami Warnings after Massive Pacific Quake

A tsunami warning has been issued for the coasts of Japan and Russia after a massive earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter scale struck in the northern Pacific Ocean. The earthquake hit some 600 kilometers (370 miles) northeast of Japan's main northern island of Hokkaido. Hokkaido authorities said they were issuing mandatory evacuation orders for 10 municipalities.
