Soichiro Honda

In the wake of WWII, Japanese citizens were faced with significant economic shortages. Realizing the commercial potential of a cheap and efficient mode of transportation, Soichiro Honda founded the Honda Motor Co. and began selling small capacity motorcycles. By the 1970s, Honda was the largest motorcycle producer in the world. His company's clean-burning CVCC engine spurred an automotive revolution, and his cars won a large share of the US market. Who nicknamed Honda "the Japanese Henry Ford"?
