A new study combining current medical knowledge, autopsy reports, physician memoirs, eyewitness accounts, and family medical histories found that Napoleon Bonaparte died from an advanced case of gastric cancer. An 1821 autopsy also determined that stomach cancer was the cause of death, but in 1961, arsenic found in the ruler's hair sparked rumors of poisoning.
