Sleep Good for Your Memory

Researchers have found that sleep not only protects memories from outside interferences, it also helps strengthen them. In a new study, researchers focused on sleep's impact on "declarative" memories, which are related to specific facts, episodes and events. Sleep appeared to help participants recall learned declarative memories, even when they were given competing information.
