Merlin

He was a bard and culture hero in early Celtic folklore, and his legend is related in Vita Merlini by the 12th-century chronicler Geoffrey of Monmouth. Geoffrey combined existing stories of what two characters to form the figure he called "Merlin Ambrosius"?
