Cooling Sun Not Heating Up Earth
New research from scientists in Britain and Switzerland challenges the theory that global warming is a natural phenomenon caused by solar radiation. The report indicates that since the mid-1980s, solar activity has been decreasing. Thus, the sun's impact on the global climate should have been a cooling one. Despite this trend, average global temperatures have continued to rise. As such, scientific consensus overwhelmingly points to human activity as the cause for this planetary warming.
